Make Money Mondays – 3 Ways To Get Paid Writing

Disclosure: This post may contain affiliate links. This means I may receive a small commission if you choose to purchase something from a link I post (including links to because I am a participant in the Amazon Services LLC Associates Program.) Don’t worry, it won’t cost you anything. This small percentage allows me to provide creative content to MomGoes, and it keeps my dreams churning. Thank you for your support.

1. Listverse – Got a top ten list of whatever? Listverse will pay you $100 for it. That’s it! Come up with a list, let’s say it’s “top ten romantic movies of the 90’s”, research a little, write it up (at lest 1500 words), and submit. If it is accepted and deemed new and unique, they will pay you $100.

2. Textbroker – When you first sign up for Textbroker you are assigned a level (your pay scale depends on what level you are on) and given highlighted articles that you can write for. You have 24 hours to write the article you accept and once written, the client can accept or reject your work, and if accepted the editors can suggest changes to your article, and you get paid. If a client likes your work, you can receive a direct order from them. The higher your level, the higher your pay per word. In its heyday, I worked for Textbroker and made an easy $50 a day. Through the grapevine, I’ve heard that there are less articles to choose from, and clients and editors are pickier, still you can make some money as long as you don’t let them be your only source of income.

3. Write an ebook! I know, I know, everyone says this but if you’re willing to put in the work, it will work for you! I know several people who have written ebooks (erotica) and consistently make money every month from work they wrote over three years ago. Truthfully, one of the most lucrative ebooks are erotica and the weirder the better. I’m talking about millionaire dinosaurs who want to find a human partner! And that’s not even the strangest ones. But I know two people who make a good amount of money writing niche books on making baby food, and growing earthworms! If you have a strange niche idea that doesn’t seem to have a lot of books on the subject, then go for it. If you think you can titillate readers, give erotica a try!

Check out this book that can give you an idea of how to write an ebook, how to make a cover, upload it, and sell it on Amazon.

Best of luck in your endeavors!
